ESQLegal Co-Hosts Global Legal Hackathon in Denver on Feb. 23–25, 2018
On February 23-25, 2018, join the world’s most innovative minds in legal technology for the Global Legal Hackathon. Lawyers, developers, designers, business development teams, students, and technologists will build solutions that advance the business of law or provide access to justice. This is an opportunity to solve problems that touch the legal community by leveraging technology. Local winners are invited to participate in the global competition. Final global winners will be announced at a gala in New York on April 21, 2017.
Legal Talk Network, the Global Blockchain Summit, and ESQLegal are co-hosting the Denver node of the Global Legal Hackathon.
Who should participate?
Denver-area developers, lawyers, marketers, technologists, entrepreneurs, and other legal/tech industry professionals are invited to participate.

What types of projects/solutions will be accepted?
The hackathon aims to be the largest legal hackathon with over 10,000 participants on six continents competing to create the best solutions specifically for legal problems. Solutions may fall into either of the categories below:
- Private Benefit: The Business & Practice of Law
- Public Benefit: Good Government, Legal Systems & A2J

What Is the Global Legal Hackathon?
The Global Legal Hackathon is a 54-hour event organized by David Fisher, founder of Integra Ledger, and Aileen Schultz, Integra Ledger’s Director of Network Intelligence. The hackathon aims to be the largest legal hackathon with over 10,000 participants on six continents competing to create the best solutions to problems in the legal industry.
How to Join a Team
Teams may form prior to the event. They can be organized by law firm, company, law school, technology firms, or other groups within your personal networks. Teams can explore any issue related to progressing the business of law or access to justice.

Doors open at Legal Talk Network at 4 pm Friday, February 23rd. Hacking begins at 6pm Friday and continues all day Saturday through Sunday. Presentations are due to hosts just prior to the judging, which begins at 9 pm Sunday.
The winning teams from each location then participate in a second round being reviewed by a panel of global judges. The top performing teams are invited to an awards banquet in New York, where the official global winners will be announced.
